Child Care

    Sundays 9:30-11:30am

Hope's Child Care is open Sunday mornings during our Modern Worship Service and for our Blended/Combined Worship Service when only one service is offered. We welcome children three years of age and under. Registration is required and can be completed by clicking here.

Hope's Child Care is overseen by our Child Care Coordinator, who is background-checked and trained in Abuse Prevention. All volunteers 18 years and older are also background checked and trained in Abuse Prevention.

    Sunday School

    Sundays at 10:30am

Hope's Sunday School program runs September through May and is for children ages Pre-K through 5th grade. It offers kids opportunities to build skills for faith formation practices (Bible reading, praying, etc.) as well as developing a basic understanding of God’s love for them and their identity as children of God! Register now for the 2024-2025 program year.

What to expect:  Participants begin in worship with their families, then join teachers to head to class after the Children’s Message. Kids also have the opportunity for communion or a blessing during worship before returning to their small group.

Volunteers needed:  Volunteer teachers and assistants are also needed each week to cover our Pre-K & Kindergarten class, our 1st & 2nd Grade class, and our 3rd & 4th Grade class. 5th graders can participate in their age group class or opt to serve as junior counselors, assisting in other classes. Volunteers 18+ are asked to have a current background check and take our online Abuse Prevention Training class, both provided at no cost.

For more information, please contact our Children's Ministry Coordinator.

    First Communion

Holy Communion is a gift from God! As with any gift that God bestows, it is given with no strings attached—there is nothing we can do that makes us more or less worthy to receive the gift. When kids receive a gift, it is natural to want to know all about what it is, how it works, and what to do with it. That is what the First Communion class is designed to do.

If you are interested our First Communion class, please contact Pastor Amy.

    Confirmation

    Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm

Anyone is welcome to affirm their baptism at any time in order to be reminded of the amazing grace God has given us! Confirmation is a special opportunity for our young people to publicly declare their intent to continue their faith journey and to receive the love and support of their congregation.

At Hope, Confirmation preparation usually begins in 6th grade. Students who are in 6th through 8th grades are invited to participate in this special faith formation. The Rite of Confirmation typically occurs in the fall of the students' 9th grade year. Click here to register for 2024-2025 Confirmation. Contact Pastor Amy for questions regarding Confirmation.

As appropriate for their ages, confirmands will explore the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament in more depth than our younger children do in Sunday School. They will also have the opportunity to learn about Christian history, teachings, and ritual. Our goal is to give young people a solid foundation of love and support for what we pray will be a lifelong journey of faith made in curiosity, humility, and wonder.

    Student Ministry

    Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm

Beyond Confirmation, supporting our young people in their faith journey is an important part of our ministry at Hope.  Throughout the program year (Sep-May), our youth gather for fellowship, fun, conversation, study, and prayer. This group, for 9th-12th grade youth, are welcome to attend, and friends are always welcome as well! Click here to register for Student Ministry. If you have questions regarding Student Ministry, please contact Pastor Amy.
