Do you get nervous when the word ‘Evangelical’ is mentioned?

Do you wonder about the connection between Evangelicals and Christian Nationalism?

Do you want to know more about why living like Jesus doesn’t seem to be in their playbook?

Join leader Susan Thornton for a discussion about Caleb Campbell’s book "Disarming Leviathan". Campbell is a Bible Church pastor who is losing members to the Christian Nationalism movement. He wants us to know they are not Evangelicals at heart and how to talk to them.

Dinners for 8-ish

Lead: Joyce Tunnard

Dinners for 8-ish is an easy, fun way to get to know others at Hope! It connects you with a group of 5-8 people who share casual meals together, once a month for 4 consecutive months. Each group decides the specifics of when and where they will meet. Try a new restaurant or an old favorite. Or gather at the home of one of the group for a pot-luck.

Dinners for 8-ish is broken down into 3 sessions per year:

  • Fall (October-January)
  • Spring (February-May)
  • Summer (June-September)

Those who sign up for the current session (signup available 3 weeks prior to the upcoming session) are divided into groups of 6-9 people and will receive an email detailing who is in their group. Group members then organize themselves by choosing a date and location for each month's dinner.
