Advent at Hope

Welcome to the season of Advent here at Hope. We celebrate this season in worship during the 4 Sundays in December (1, 8, 15, & 22) as well as the first 3 Wednesday evenings in December (4, 11, & 18).

Candlelight is very much part of the symbolism used in Advent. The candles we light in the four Advent candles at Church or at home are living symbols to tell us that we are journeying through a time of waiting. The journey of Advent asks us to wait so that we can reflect on just what it is we are expecting from this Messiah.

As we journey through this time of waiting, we invite you to join us as we light candles of hope. Hope for our lives here on this earth. Hope for the life to come.

We HOPE you'll join us Wednesdays in December as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus and celebration of Christmas! Advent is the four-week season dedicated to reflective preparation for the arrival, "advent", of the Nativity at Christmas time. Each week we will focus on a different theme - hope, peace, joy, and love - and do our best to slow down and reflect on the meaning behind the many traditions we practice leading up to Christmas. Bring yourself, your partner, your friends, your family members for time to eat together, worship, and breathe in the spirit of Advent. December 4th, 11th, and 18th from 6-8pm in the Welcome Center and Worship Space.
